I had the best time taking family photographs for this amazing bunch this fall! Both of their darling daughters were fabulously behaved (and fortunately, despite the white, we all stayed totally clean!) and the weather was spot on.
It isn’t unusual at all for a Mom to request a very specific pose for a photograph. This particular portrait however, Mom told me made her cry after she saw it. It was something that was very, very sentimental to her and I am so, so very happy that we captured it as beautifully as we did. And of course, that Greta didn’t squirm off of her sister’s lap.
It’s hard to believe that it has been one year since the first time Addison and I had a photo shoot. When I first met her, she was only a few months old and her parents were preparing for a heart surgery that was to take place only a few weeks later. I remember praying a little bit harder as I drove home that day. Somehow, all of my problems suddenly seemed completely ridiculous in comparison to what her amazing parents were facing.
I have photographed this wonderful family three times in the last year, and watching Addy grow has been such a blessing. I look forward to so many more years of seeing this smiling face!
Despite her rather serious expression in this photograph, this sweet little girl was nothing but smiles for her session with this family photographer. The weather was absolutely astounding and her parents were nothing short of wonderful. We had the opportunity to shoot at one of my favorite places, Memorial Park right here in Wilsonville, OR. I am in love with all of the old trees and the diverse landscape of this park. It reminds me just how lucky we are to live here!
Is it just me, or does this photograph simply scream fall? I absolutely love this color combination. Apparently, so did Eli because despite his mother’s sneaking suspicion that he might not stay asleep for his newborn pictures, he slept like I did before I had kids of my own. Love, love, love this sweet little squish.
Tis the season for stunning outdoor family photo shoots! This amazing little family looked like something out of a fashion magazine. Mom did such an amazing job putting together outfits and was so shocked when she saw this photograph, because we got everyone looking at the camera! Trust me, this is no small feat for a family of five.
It’s funny that I can manage to wrangle my client’s children into smiling pretty, but not my own. Ahhh, the poor children of photographers.
