Lovely Lucy

I could not get over the dimples on this sweet little girl.  This image was captured during a session with Lucy’s entire family, but I snapped this as she was telling me a story.  I adore images like this.  I had a hard time trying to determine which conversion I should post, and decided on the black and white as opposed to the color.  I’m having a “black and white” type of day.

Lucy’s photograph reminds me of just how much I adore what I do.  I hope that when this charming little child is older, that her amazing Momma pulls this picture out to remind her of just how little she once was.

Organic Ergo Carrier Giveaway!

I know, I know, I promised I would do this last week but then everything kind of exploded and it didn’t happen.  I swear, I am only one person and this Momma is juggling three kids (and we still have no nanny after six weeks of searching), a house, moving and her business.  I need a spa day.  Why can’t I have a giveaway for a spa day and give it to myself?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Bueller?

Get to the point, Veronica.

So, first, here’s a photograph of this beautiful carrier.  It is BRAND SPANKING NEW and still sitting in its box, sealed and untouched.  I can’t credit for this photograph, as I pulled it off of the LeakyBoob website and I think it is a stock photo from ErgoBaby.  Yes, good job photographer on sourcing your images.

Innocence

Yesterday, I took to my Facebook Page to ask for a little help from my amazing fans.  I snapped this photograph of our gorgeous middle child over the weekend, but was stumped on what to name it.  I call this photographer‘s child syndrome, an affliction which renders me unable to be unbiased or rational when it comes to images of my own children.

In any event, by an overwhelming majority, this photograph has been named Innocence.  And to be honest, it is absolutely perfect.

Now I just have to figure out how many dozen of my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I have to make for everyone who helped me out…

GQ Worthy

Okay, so maybe I am a little bit biased, but is this not the most handsome man you’ve ever laid eyes on?  Forget the fact that he’s mine for a second, but seriously?  If I am being totally honest, after both of our girls ended up with my eyes, I was eager for our son to have Daddy’s eyes, and I got my wish.

It’s so strange to do photography that is outside of your scope (like corporate headshots), but as a creative, I think it is imperative that we reach outside of our comfort zone in an effort to be constantly evolving. I feel that there are few things worse than feeling like you are stagnant. Always be moving, always be learning, always be pushing your limits.

I love this guy.  So, so much.

Dear Cameron

I win.

Oh, you sweet little six week old, I so, so win. This photograph proves it beyond the shadow of a doubt.  When your Momma called me last week in a panic because the baby pictures taken by your first photographer did not turn out, I have to admit I had my doubts that we would actually get you to sleep, but experience and skill has prevailed.

I like winning.  I like that I got to snuggle you even more.

Love,

Veronica
